Anjuna: Goa’s Rock Beach


Located at the north of Baga and Calangute, Anjuna is a popular hangout spot in Goa for the hippies. Famous for its trance parties held on the beach, the village is a vibrant place during the tourist season.

Anjuna beach is a rocky Goan beach ideal for relaxation, as it is usually secluded. But Wednesdays can be a bit noisy, as the village hosts the famous flea market during this day of the week from morning till dusk. The market offers pretty much everything: from clothes to jewellery, electronic devices and much more. It is recommended to go early if you wish to hunt for bargains!

An ideal beach party destination, Anjuna is home to one of the the most popular night-clubs of goa: Paradiso. Apart from this, Anjuna hosts some amazing open-air parties. The beach also has some nice beach shacks with awesome music! Once thronged mostly by foreigners, today the beach has a mixed crowd.

While at Anjuna, you can hire a motorbike and explore the scenic surroundings of the village: green hills along the rocky seashore.
