Our three-hour tour in the morning will give you a chance to explore the way the city wakes up and how locals indulge in tasting the local recipes from centuries old shops. We start with a visit to the langar hall ( Community kitchen ) of the Golden Temple.
We also take you to a 80-year-old tea shop where tea is still made on a coal chimney with a table fan and the trip also see you guzzling a glass of the famous lassi coupled with a huge gallop of butter.
No trip is complete without snacks and we also take you to taste puris and kachoris and with your guides telling you about all the dishes, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore the history of the recipes and seeing the dishes being prepared. In between the gluttony, you will also get a chance to visit some traditional shops apart from a special random surprise visit.
The tour finishes with you relishing the morning breakfast.
PRICE DETAILS
Three tours are offered i.e. morning tour, afternoon tour and evening food tours.
The breakfast tour usually starts at 8 a.m-11 a.m in the morning and it consists of snacks tasting, dessert tasting, visit to golden temple and golden temple kitchen, breakfast at a local dhabha and specialty shop, water bottles charges, guide charges and all the taxes. It is priced at rs 1199 per person.
The afternoon food tour ( 11 am-12pm to -2pm-230pm-3.00 pm ) is also the same and it consists of Lunch in place of breakfast and it also includes snacks and sweet tasting and other things. It is priced at Rs 1399 per person.
The evening tour ( 4pm-430pm-5 p.m to 7-30-8.00-830 p.m ) is also the same but it sees dinner and some more snacks which are only available in the evening in Amritsar. It is priced at Rs 1399 per person.
If you are a group of more than five people, we will offer you a discount of Rs 150 per person in whatever tour suits you.
