ABOUT THE DAY
Start fresh at 7:00am from the designated pick up point to reach the Chamundi hills base for a small hike up the. Start climbing the 1000 steps ( the view from the top is worth it - trust us! ) while learning about Mysore's history and listening to a lot of stories. Stroll, relax, unwind and return to the base for some yummy breakfast; melt in the mouth masala dosas ( savoury pancakes ) which cannot be found anywhere else in the world. Visit the silk factory and watch the artisans weave stunning silk sarees, right from a cocoon.
Head to the palace - the most awaited part of the tour. Meet the Stone Sculptors who breathe life into pieces of rocks. They have been patronized by the Mysore Maharajas and have been sculpting for nine generations. Savour a brilliant 15 course Mysore styled plantain leaf meal capped off with a cup of steaming filter coffee.
Visit the folklore museum for a walk through the culture and history. Greet the Wooden Inlay Artisans who do magic with wood. Walk around the psychedelic experiences at the Devaraja Market. End the day with some street food at the Food Street.
