DAY 02: TRIVANDRUM SIGHTSEEING

DAY 03: KOVALAM - KANYAKUMARI ( 90 km - 2 h )
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Kanyakumari – which is at the tail point of India, where the three seas meet together. The place is most famous for the spectacular sunset and moonrise. Check into the hotel on arrival and proceed for sightseeing of visiting - The Vivekananda rock in the island which is reachable by Govt ferry. There is also a recently built memorial to Tiruvalluvar, the author of the philosophical work Tirukkural - a treatise on the Indian way of life. DAY 05: RAMESHWARAM/ SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Rameshwaram visiting - Ramanathaswamy Temple which was built by rulers of different dynasties from 12th century and onwards. The temple complex is constructed in an area of 265m x 200m and is famous for its 1200 gigantic granite columns, the 54-meter tall gopuram ( gate-tower ) , 1220 meters of magnificent corridors, the flamboyant columns embellish and render fame to the temple. The water in each of the 22 sacred wells in the temple tastes different. According to the Hindu mythology, the story of Ramayana Lord Rama performed thanks giving rituals to Lord Rama after the battle at Sri Lanka and his triumph over the demon king Ravana. Owing to this Rameshwaram attracts Vaishnavites ( worshippers of Lord Vishnu ) and Saivites ( worshippers of Lord Shiva ) alike.
In a distance just of 24 kilometers from Rameshwaram is a shore of Sri Lanka. In fact the entire area of Rameshwaram is associated with various incidents from the Ramayana. DAY 06: RAMESHWARAM - MADURAI ( 165 km - 3.5 h )

DAY 07: MADURAI / SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Madurai – the old city of Tamilnadu. The name Madurai reminds the city of the legend that a drop of sweet nectar from the hair of the god Shiva fell to earth here. ‘Madhuram’ means ‘sweet’ in Sanskrit. Sightseeing follows of visiting - the famous Meenakshi Temple, where thousands of priests and worshippers come daily, people are blessed by the temple elephant. Further more visit the Tirumalai Nayak palace and Gandhi Museum. Later return to hotel and after dinner visit Meenakshy temple for the ceremony with a fanfare, where the god Shiva is lead to the bedroom of his wife, Meenakshi. DAY 08: DEPARTURE TRANSFER
