Day 02
Chandigarh – Manali ( Approx 300kms )

Morning after breakfast proceed to visit Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a Sculpture garden in Chandigarh, also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Today it is spread over an area of forty-acres ( 160, 000 m² ) . It consists of man-made interlinked waterfalls, it is completely built of industrial & home waste and throw-away items. Later proceed to Manali. Kullu and Manali are Himachal's most popular tourist valley resorts. Located on the banks of the Beas river, Kullu is also known as the 'Valley of God's' as it is the official home of the presiding deity of the area, Lord Raghunathji. Kullu is a broad open valley formed by the Beas river between Manali and Largi. This valley is famous for its beauty and its majestic hills covered with Pine and Deodar Forest and sprawling Apple Orchards. Manali is situated 40 kms from Kullu. Late evening Check into Hotel. Early Morning with packed breakfast proceed for local sightseeing. Enjoy spectacular drive towards Rohtang snow point. Free time to play and enjoy in the snow. Please Note: Rohtang pass is 51 kms. away from Manali. This Pass is not accessible for almost 8 months in a year as it is covered by snow. We generally visit the snow point on Rohtang road, which has been permitted by the Border Security Force. After lunch visit Hadimba Temple is an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hidimbi Devi, who was a character in the Indian epic, Mahabharata. The temple is surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas. The structure was built in 1553. Vashist, a small village located on the left bank of river Beas towards Rohtang pass is worth a visit. It is renowned for its hot springs and temples. Nearby is the pyramidal stone temple dedicated to Vashist Muni. There is another Temple of Lord Ram here. Natural hot sulphur springs with two separate bathing tanks for gents and ladies are always full of tourists. Turkish style showers fitted baths have also been built nearby. Hot water from the nearby spring is provided for bathing. Overnight stay in Hotel at Manali.

Morning after breakfast proceed for local sightseeing. Kufri is a small hill station in Shimla. It is located 13 km from the state capital Shimla on the National Highway No.22.The name Kufri is derived from the word "Kufr" meaning a lake in the local language. One can have a pony ride through snows in winter season. Kufri has a Himalayan Wild Life Zoo which hosts rare Antelopes, Felines and Birds including Himalayan Monal, the state bird of Himachal Pradesh. After Lunch explore Mall Road. Mall Road is the main street in Shimla, . Constructed during British colonial rule. The offices of municipal Corporation, fire Service, and Police headquarters are located here. Automobiles, except emergency vehicles are not allowed on this road. For this reason, the locals — and tourists — are often found strolling on this road in the evenings. Mall road has a number of showrooms, department stores, shops, restaurants and cafes. A Himachal emporium that offers handicraft products of Himachal Pradesh like locally designed woollen cloths, branded cloths, pottery items, and jewellery is also located here. Shimla- Delhi ( Approx 350 Kms )

Morning after breakfast proceed to Delhi. On the way visit Pinjore Garden and Kurukshetra. Pinjore Gardens is located in Pinjore, Panchkula District of Haryana. It is an example of the Mughal Gardens style, and was built by Patiala Dynasty Rulers. It is also known as Yadavindra Gardens. It covers a total area of 100 acres. It is believed that it is over here that Pandava brothers had rested during their exile. The seven terraces at Pinjore, instead of ascending, descend into the distance. It was built by Nawab Fadai Khan. Kurukshetra, is best known as the place where the great battle of the Mahabharata was fought and Lord Krishna spoke the Bhagavad-gita. But long before that, Kurukshetra had played a dominant role in the history and culture of ancient India. For thousands of years it was a hub around which the Vedic civilization spun in its full glory. Continue the journey to Delhi. Overnight stay in Hotel at Delhi.
