Day 2- Manali Sightseeing
Today you will pick up your Royal Enfield motorcycle and we will spend the day sightseeing in the local area so you can get familiar with riding your motorbike. There is plenty to see in the area including high mountain passes, ancient temples, beautiful castles and picturesque traditional Himalayan villages.
Day 3- Manali to Manikaran ( 84km )
Today we ride from one beautiful green valley- the Kullu valley into another beautiful valley- the Paravti Valley. Passing through traditional Himalayan villages with the River Beas raging along side us this ride is nothing short of spectacular. We will stop for lunch in the backpacker town of Kasol before making the short journey onwards to Manikaran. Here we will check into our hotel and relax our bodies in the natural hot springs within the temple complex.
Day 4- Manikaran to Barsheni ( 7km ) ( from here you have the option to do the 1 day trek to Khir Ganga )
For those who want to partake in the additional trek option of this package we will ride out to Barsheni which is the last village with a road on this side of the valley. From here we will begin the 4-5 trek up to the idyllic Khir Ganga village. The trek is not strenuous and it is easy to enjoy the stunning views over the Parvati Valley. Tonight we will spend the night cuddled up next to a log fire and enjoy the beautiful stars in this sacred village.
Day 5- Explore Khir Ganga
From Khir Ganga there are many short walks you can take including the short trek up to a holy cave. If you want to rest there are a few cosy restaurants and the village also has natural hot springs where you can revive yourweary bodies.
Day 6- Khir Ganga to Manali ( 103km )
We will leave early for the walk back down to Barsheni which is much easier and quicker than the walk up but just as spectacular in scenery. Upon arrival in Barsheni we will have lunch and reclaim our Royal Enfields before heading back on the road. We will take an alternative road back to Manali so we will be on the opposite side of the River Beas. We will arrive back to our hotel in the early evening in time for a final group dinner and well deserved beer to celebrate the end of our Manali to Parvati Valley motorcycle and trek tour.
