Day 00 : 04th August 2017

Mumbai to Chandigarh – Board Paschim Express from Bandra Terminus by 10:30 am.

Day 01 : 05th August 2017

Chandigarh – Reach Chandigarh by 05:00 pm. Check in hotel and collect your bikes from Cargo office. Late evening introduction and briefing session followed with dinner. Overnight stay at Hotel Shagun or Similar

Day 02 : 06th August 2017

Narkanda to Sangla ( 160 kms ) – Gear up for the very first day of the most awaited Lahaul-Spiti bike ride. Enjoy breathtaking views of Sutlej River and deep valley of Kinnaur throughout the ride. En route visit Bhimakali Temple. Late evening arrival at Camp Site. Overnight at Sangla.

Day 03 : 07th August 2017

Sangla Sightseeing – This is the day to explore the land of fairy tales – Sangla ! Start your ride to the last village of Indo-Tibet Border -Chitkul where the Indian roads ends. Explore Chitkul and return to Sangla. Visit famous Kamroo Fort. Evening take a walk to Batseri Village, with its modern wooden houses and beautiful wood carvings of lord Badrinarayan Temple. Then further take a leisure walk along baspa river to the quaint Rakcham village. One can also see the magnificent view of Kinner Kailash from Sangla. Evening camp fire followed by dinner. Overnight in Camp.

Day 04 : 08th August 2017

Sangla to Nako ( 130 kms ) – Start riding towards Nako. En route visit Reckong Peo ( districts headquarter of Kinnaur ) . Late evening arrival at Nako. Nako is slated to be decleared a heritage village and its built around a small lake. It has an important Buddhist Gompa which is 1000 years old and a small Temple. Overnight in Camp.

Day 05 : 09th August 2017

Nako-Tabo-Pin Valley ( 130 kms ) After breakfast start the drive to Pin Valley. On the way visit the ancient village of Tabo which is situated on the left bank of the river Spiti. It is the seat of one oetf the most famous Buddhist Monasteries regarded next to the Tholong Gompa in Tib. It is also known as ‘Ajanta of Himalayas’.

It was constructed in 996 AD; – not just in Spiti but in the whole of the Tibetan Buddhist world is called Chogs – Khor [‘Doctrinal Circle’ or ‘Doctrinal Enclave’]. It is a complex that holds 9 Temples, 23 Chortens, a Monk’s Chamber & an extension that houses the Nun’s Chamber. On the sheer cliff-face above the enclave are a series of Caves, used as dwellings by the Monks & includes an Assembly Hall. The monastery contains large number of Scriptures & Pieces of Art, Wall Painting & Stucco. There is also a modern Gompa & Painting School founded by the Dalai Lama. Check-out from Tabo after Lunch. After Tabo stop at Dhankar Gompa, Samling; the traditional Capital of Spiti, which sits pretty on a hilltop. The hill-top Fort that overlooks the Spiti Valley also used to serve as a jail in old days. Today, more than 160 Lamas reside here. A Statue of Dhyan Buddha where four complete figures of Buddha sit back to back is the main attraction of this more than 7th Century old Monastery.

Continue drive to beautiful Mud Village. Arrive at mud & check-in to your Hotel. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06 : 10th August 2017

Mud village-Hikkim – Langza-Kaza ( 100 kms ) – After early breakfast by 07 am; start the scenic ride towards Hikkim. Hikkim- highest post office of world Langza – last village of Spiti valley. Reach Kaza for Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 07 : 11th August 2017

Kaza – Ki Monastery – Kibber Village – Kaza ( 40 Kms ) – After early breakfast by 07 am; excursion to Ki Monastery. Situated at the foot of steep ridges & on the left bank of river Spiti is the Ki Monastery which is the Biggest Gelupa Sect Monastery in Spiti. It’s hilltop position points to a post 13TH Century construction. The three storied structure consists largely of storage rooms at the bottom level while the middle floor houses the Dukhang – the Assembly Hall & the uppermost floor has another Temple & Head Lama’s Quarters on the one side of an Open Terrace. The greatest wealth of Ki Gompa lies in its collection of ‘Thangkas’salvaged with difficulty from the devastating raids of the Dogars & the Sikhs in the 19TH Century. Hundreds of Lamas receive their Religious Training in this Monastery & is famous for its ancient Murals & Books. From here a scenic drive takes you into the Pasture Country of Kibber. From Kibber, the Pastures are spread over hundreds of square kilometres. Return back to Kaza for Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel. Evening free time to explore Kaza Market. Overnight at Hotel

Day 08 : 12th August 2017

Kaza-Kumzum La-Chandratal Lake ( 95 kms ) – Today after breakfast we commence our journey towards another spitian wonder – Chandratal Lake. The mystical and beautiful Chandratal lake which is also known as moon lake is located at a height of 14, 100 feets. A Chandrabhaga mountain range forms a perfect back drop for the lake. which changes its appearance according to the pictures painted in the sky.

After visiting Chandratal lake we Stay at Batal. ( Basic Tented Stay )

Day 09 : 13th August 2017

Batal – Manali ( 114 kms ) – After breakfast start riding towards Manali. The road towards Manali is going to taste your riding skills. Lots of off-roading patches and Paagal Nala’s to deal with. En route ride through famous Rohatang pass. Arrival at Manali. Evening leisure time to explore Mall road. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10 : 14th August 2017

Manali : Rest day to explore Manali and to service your vehicle for the next day longest run. Overnight at Manali

Day 11 : 15th August 2017

Manali to Chandigarh ( 292 kms ) – It will be the longest leg of the bike expedition. Post breakfast, start riding towards Manali via Kullu-Mandi- Sundarnagar-Roopnagar. Late evening arrival at Chandigarh. Overnight stay at Hotel Sunpark or Similar

Day 12 : 16th August 2017

Chandigarh – Transfer your bike by Gati/Safex Courier. Return journey back to Mumbai.
